KMDA is a statutory authority functioning under the administrative control of Urban Development Department of Government of West Bengal. It is the statutory planning and development authority for Kolkata Metropolitan Area (KMA), the largest urban agglomeration in eastern India.

KMDA AND KMW&SA are recruiting 132 SUB ASST. ENGINEER & ASST. ENGINEER (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical). The notice for the above vacancies was publish on 28/03/2010.

Category I- Name of Post ASST. PLANNER (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)– Pay scale – 9,000/- to 40,500/- (G.P 5,400/-) plus other allowances as per rules.

Category II- Name of Post ASST. ENGINEER – Pay scale – 9,000/- to 40,500/- (G.P 5,400/-) plus other allowances as per rules.

Category III- Name of Post TECHNICAL ASST. (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)– Pay scale – 9,000/- to 40,500/- (G.P 4,400/-) plus other allowances as per rules.

Application for the above post has to be sent to- “The Secretary, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority, Proshashon Bhaban, Plot No- DD-I, Sector-I, Bidhannagar, Kolkata- 700064 at the latest by 30.04.2010, by Speed Post or Registered post. A D/D of Rs. 500(for Category I and II) and Rs. 400 (for Category III) (not applicable for ST/SC) drawn in favour of Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority, payable at Kolkata has to be sent alongwith the application.
